Motorcycle Repair: customization, honda cb750k, rear shocks

Question
I know you normally deal with Harleys, but since you also specialize in custom bikes, I thought I'd give you a try. I have a 1980 Honda CB750K, and I'd like to lower it. I know it can either be done with lowering blocks on the back to change the angle of the rear shocks, or shorter shocks. Which method do you recommend, and do you know where I can find either of those?
Thanks.

Answer
When you lower a bike at the rear you should lower the front too, so you dnt change the rake.
You can go either way on the lowering of the rear. Both work quit well. The lowering blocks would cost less than buying new shocks. Remember when you lower the rear to check tire clearence. To lower the front you nees to get shorter fork springs and spacers for the shorter springs.
As to where you can get all this, you would have to check around with other bike shops. I do not have any access to honda parts.
Good luck and happy riding
