Motorcycle Repair: honda oil light, honda elite, oil light

  I have a 1986 150cc Honda elite. The oil pressure light turned RED, bad sign. I changed oil and then the light was half green/red. Now the indicator shows all red again. I have probably driven it 150 miles since this problem started. The engine sounds normal and the temp gage is reading normal. Where should I start looking? Do these engines have an oil pump in them?

Hi Jerry,

I suggest obtaining a copy of the service manual and follow the troubleshooting procedures.

There will be specific intel on what to check when the warning indicator light changes color.

The engine has an oil pump.
