Motorcycle Repair: Front wheel of my Suzuki is making noise, 2002 suzuki gsxr600, dial indicators

Question
First all, thank you for your help!
I have a 2002 Suzuki GSXR600 and about 4 weeks ago I crashed at a racetrack.  Yesterday I started fixing my bike.  Both of my handle bars got broken so I replaced that, but I noticed that when spinning the front wheel it seems like the rotors are touching the brakebads so when rotating the wheel it makes noise.  I lifted the front of the bike with a stand and I made the wheel to spin and it does spin, but not as freely as it used to be.  Do you think the forks got bent slightly from the crash?  Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem?  How can I check to see if the forks are bent?
Thanks a lot for helping out!

Answer
Hi Roberto,

I would need to inspect the front end parts to determine the damages if any.

I recommend you have an experienced tech check for you.

The forks can be checkd by placing the disassembled inner stantion tubes in V blocks and measuring run-out with dial indicators.

The forks can be trued with a shop press and frequent re-checking by the above method.

I return tech information files by email. There was no email address with your question as requested. Send me an emial addy if you want the files.
