Motorcycle Repair: kick starter, fill tank, set screw

When I start my 69 harley flh it will make a noise like the starter motor is engaging. To make it stop if I push my foot against the kick start it stops but then a few minutes later it will do it again? Then how much oil goes in to the fill tank located on the kick starter. I did notice that there is a allen set screw in the middle. Is that how you know if you out enough in?

Sounds like your gear to the kickstarter is bumping the shaft. you will need to remove the cover and inspect it.
As to the fill, that is the fill for the trans. Stand the bike upright and remove the allen plug. Fill the trans until the oil runs out that hole and put the allen plug back in and the trans is full.
