Motorcycle Repair: 1986 Harley FXRT, cross country trip, fresh paint

I have a chance to sell my 96 FXD and purchase a 1986 FXRT.  The FXRT is a single owner bike with fresh paint, reworked tranny and motor.  The owner just returned from a cross-country trip on the bike.  I am concerned with parts and maintenance.  What do you think?

The FXRD is kind of a unique bike. Harley only made them for a few years. They were not very popular. As to parts, the motor and trans is the same as any other 1986 big bike so there is not problems there. you might have trouble finding a seat and exhaust system if you need them.
