G,day. Can you tell me the valve clearances for a 2003 Honda SL230? and do i check the oil with the motorcycle upright or on the sidestand? also do i screw the dipstick all the way in to do this?

Hi Chugg,

I don't have the service manual for this model, sorry. You'll have to find valve clearance specs elsewhere.

You can purchase manuals and view microfiche parts at "www.bikebandit.com"

Measure oil with the MC up-right level on level ground.

Remove the dipstick, wipe clean, re-insert stick onto top of opening without threading stick. Remove and read oil level on stick.
