Motorcycle Repair: GSXR 750, suzuki gsxr 750, accurate diagnosis

Question
I have a 1999 Suzuki GSXR 750. In low and mid range it has a sputter to it. When you get on it it goes away. I took it to the shop where I bought it and they checked it out and said the bike was running lean. It ran great and now about 2 weeks later the bike is doing the same thing. Could the bike have leaned itself out again..And if that is the case what can I do to keep it from doing that. Or is there another problem that I need to know about.  Email:  mts1980@hotmail.com

Answer
Hi Mike,

I would need to experience the problem and read the spark plugs to offer accurate diagnosis.

I suspect tuning the air-fuel mixtures may correct the performance problem.

Check fuel for evidence of water and other contamination.

Can you send images of the spark plugs?

And, if you can provide the sizes of the current pilot and main jets, the altitude of your environment, and the average air temperature, I will do the math to get correct jetting.

Keep in mind that I return tech information files by email. There was no email address with your question as requested.
