hello Bill
          I have a classic honda 77' 750k got it new!
Is a real nice bike! but now starting to run like crap? I am a some what of a mac. I put a set of carbs. on it didn't help put plugs no good? It has doal points I don't know much about adjusting? It back fires and has low power? It only has 34000 miles on it! I don't ride it that much. But now can't ride it that all! I think the timing is off? Can you help Me!

I have to read between the lines here.... one owner, replaced carbs with (?) hopefully another set of 77-78 carbs. 34k miles and you haven't checked the points?
WOW! I think the timing is off, too!

Check the above websites... get a fresh set of points and condensers from Honda or m/c shop or Ebay and then follow the procedures in the above sites, along with some point grease from an autoparts store or a H-D dealer.

I suspect that your points are barely opening at all, resulting in very retarded ignition timing. When you change out the points, remove the point plate and check the spark advancer function for good advance/retard on the springs/weights. Clean and lubricate as necessary. Mark the point cam before you remove it from the advancer, as you may be able to put it on backwards and confuse yourself a bit.
