Motorcycle Repair: electrical, suzukie, electrical tests

i owen a 99 suzukie quadrunner the other day i hooked up a set of driving lights 35w each i took the bike out and drove it for about 1 hour then i noticed that there was no power in the battery when i got home the battery was dead i recharged battery i did not short any wires out and im wondering if thes lights were to big for bike and if they may have shorted the charging system out also when i unhook battery should i have 12 volts reading at battery post wires
when they are diconected the bike trys to stall and idels bad

Hi Robert,

I suspect a problem with the charging system or other electrical problem(s).

I would need to perform a few quick electrical tests to accurately diagnose the problem(s).

Have a local shop inspect the problem for you or obtain a copy of the Service Manual and following troubleshooting procedures.
