Motorcycle Repair: Blinkers, test light, blinkers

I have a 1974 yahama DT250A. My head light only works on low. If I turn it to high it shuts off, and my blinkers will light up (dimly) but will not blink. I checked the fuse under the seat and it is good. What do you suggest I try?

i usually only answer questions on Harleys, but I might be able to help. You either have a short or a ground problem in the lights circuit. What you are going to have to do is get a test light and a wiring diagram and start tracing the wires until you find the problem.
