hi i need to speed my bike up could you tell me the best way to do it i was told a jet kit would make it run like shit and told me to get new cans... i have been on ebay and there are loads of cans for different bikes will the cans for a 1000 work with custom link pipes...

Hi Mitchell,

My Yamaha TZ250's were clocked at 168 at Daytona. Consider gearing ratio changes for top speed. Of course, 1st gear will be like 3rd gear, but you'll have top end speed.

If you buy and install any carburetors, you'll have to tune the carbs to make them work with your engine.

Tuning is not easy and often requires a trailer pull to the local shop. I recommend letting a pro tech tune the carbs for you. It's your $$$.
