Motorcycle Repair: 1500cc, Vulcan ,mid 90s, float bowls, winter bike

A guy bought the bike,ran great,60 miles later,he lays it down.sat through the winter.(the right side(  bike got sold,apperantly he went through it over the winter.bike idles ,touch the throttle,bike dies.starts hard,seems to fire (when turning it over ,throttle wide open)back through the intake a bit.thinken it might be in fuel delivery,gonna try gas down carbi when runnin.if it's timing,...can you here me scratching my head.hei? where's it at,can I check it staticly,without disassembly of motor? need a solution,ideas

From the description provided I suspect fuel left in the float bowls has varnished. If so, the carburetors will need thoroughly cleaned to restore proper performance.

Get a copy of the service manual. The manual will help you accurately diagnose problems and make repairs correctly.
