seems to be getting really hot when i go under 35 mph or when i stop for a stop light    the blower kicks in when it gets close to red  is this normal

Hi Ron,

A tech would need to see and experience the problem as described to accurately diagnose the problem, if any.

Your GL may have a faulty temp sensor, fan switch, temp gauge, stat, fan motor, improper coolant mix, air in the cooling system, or other related problem.

Some MC's fans come on close to the temp gauge red zone. It depends upon the desing of the system. Thermo switches come on and off between certain temperatures. They can be tested to determine if they're working properly. The procedures and service limits of these components are found in the service manual.
