Motorcycle Repair: tranmission fluid, trans fluid, lubricant

Question
I layed my 2004 Heritage down yesterday and trans fluid leaked out (red) so i went to Harly shop and bought a quart of Semi-Synthetic Trans Lubricant. It says to Ck warm but i think I lost a lot before i could get it up so i wanted to put just a little in before starting it but seen it was clear not red.  do i use this or not

The fluid you have in the trans is probably another brand and that is why it is red. the problem is you dont know if its full synthetic or semi synthetic. You shouldn't mix them. I would go ahead and drain the trans fluid the put in the new that you bought from harley.
