Motorcycle Repair: Gas tank Hoses, suzuki gs550, gs series

Question
I just purchaced a 1979 Suzuki GS550 with the gas tank removed. It has 2 places on the petcock for hoses and a third place on the sending unit for gas hoses. I know that one is the main gas line but where do the other 2 connect to?
