Motorcycle Repair: New Tires, rear axel, bihe

Question
My bihe is a 2000 Harley Davidson FLHT. I need to replace both tires. Is there any thing strange I need to know. Should I relieve the tension on the drive belt before I take out the rear axel? Is the front tire as easy as it looks?  Thanks.

Answer
You should be fine replacing the tires. On the rear you do not need to loosen the belt. Jack the bike up and remove the axle. The tough part is getting the brake caliber over the disk. On the front, you will have to remove the calibers to get the tire off.
Good luck and happy riding
