Motorcycle Repair: Yamaha, spark plug wires, virago 750

I know it's not your subject man, but my Virago 750's running on one cylinder. Her carbs mix fuel a little hard, so I figured it was just a caked spark plug. I put a new plug on and she's still on one cylinder, and backfiring. Any advice? Thanks.

I usually only answer questions on harleys but I might be able to help. I am not sure if your bike has one coil or more than one. Follow the spark plug wires to the coil or coils and with a test light they should be hot on one side and the other goes to the ignition. If they are hot then swap the plug wires on the coils and test it with the spark plug touching the cylinder and turning the bike over. You might have a plug wire.
