Motorcycle Repair: Handle Bars dont line up with front wheel., yahama bikes, minor crash

Question
We recently  purchased  2 Yahama bikes a 2003 PW 80 & 2004 XT 225 Dual Purpose. Both bikes have the same problem. The direction of the handle bars is not in align with the front wheel. The PW 80 has this condition a  result of a minor crash. The XT came to an abrubt stop as the front wheel hit some rocks, but was not dropped.
The handle bars don't appear to be bent on either bike, they appear to have shifted to the left along with the assembly on top of the forks. The bikes track fine and there is no wobble.
Any suggestions on how to get the handle bars and front forks in a straight line with the front wheel once again? Thanks for your help.

Answer
I usually only answer questions on Harleys, but I think I can help from riding motocross years ago.
Loosen all the pinch bolts and fasterns on the forks. Your problem is the forks have been tweeked to one side. Now holding the front wheels between your legs, pull the handlebars the direction it need to go to straighten them. I have seen guys do this at races between two trees! One you have them ligned up again tighten all the bolts.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
