Motorcycle Repair: Aspencade plug fouling, honda gold wing, electrical diagnosis

Question
I have a 1984 Honda Gold Wing Aspencade 1200. When I got it about 3 years ago it had 24,000 miles and just turned 68,900. Periodically I will have the #2 plug begin to foul out. It is only that one and always that one plug. I will replace that one plug and it will be fine for a couple of months. All the plugs are the same: NGK 4929 DPR8EA-9 Any suggestions as to (1) why this one cylinder is always misfiring after a couple of months and (2) a suggestion for a hotter or colder plug? or another suggestion . . . ?

Answer
Hi Roger,

The ignition is likely defective. It could be simple current flashover or leak on the #2 clyinder ignition coil secondary lead, or it may be other components failing perodically. Identifying the source of the problem is to be determined.

I would need to perform electrical diagnosis to determine the cause.
