Question
mike, my name is brian rittenhouse. i just bought a 2001 suzuki 1200 air/oil cooled bike.it has a yoshi pipe and is supposed to be jetted.i took it out today for my first time.it was about 30 deg. outside.the bike ran great but when i hit the throttle it hesitated then took off.could this be from the cold temp. not letting the motor get up to temp. any info would be helpful.

thanks,  brian

Answer
I usually only answer questions on Harleys, but I might be able to help. When the temp is as low as you said, it takes quit a while for a bike to warm up. Sounds like it wasnt warm enough and that would cause the problem you were having. Try going for a lot longer ride and see if you still have the same problem.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
