Motorcycle Repair: fxr swingarm and rocker boxes, rocker boxes, rubber gaskets

    i am wanting to remove the swingarm on a 91 fxrs to have it chromed and need to know if besides the bike jack, if i will need another jack to hold the motor and trany? also, i want to replace the stock rocker boxes with new chrome ones. i am mechanically inclined but want to know if there are any pitfalls in replacing these?

Just put a couple of wooden blocks under the trans is all you need.
As to the rocker boxes, its pretty cut and dry. remove the old ones and install the new ones. Make sure the rubber gaskets dont get pinched when installing them or you will get a leak.
