Motorcycle Repair: drive belt noise, suzuki savage, alingment

Question
98 suzuki savage.  when i replaced the rear tire the belt started making noise, like it was rubbing on something, but nothing is touching it. Have taken it to several mechanics and the belt is in good working order, just this very annoying cyclic, rubbing almost squeaking sound. the back tire is one size bigger than standard size, but that is also what came off of it before it started the noise.

Answer
I usually only answer questions on harleys, but I might be able to help you. First, check the alingment of the rear wheel to the front wheel. Make sure it is tracking true. After doing that rotate the rear wheel and see where the belt is tracking. It might be rubbing agains the sides the sprocket. Also, are the sprockets wore any? If they are then the belt might have to get some mikes on it to break into the old sprockets. Last, the do make belt dressing that you can put on which will help with the squeeking.
Hope this helps
