I have a 1990 FXR which I cannot get to stop throwing oil out of the crank case breather.

I have rebored and re ringed the engine, fitted a new oil pump, And fitted a new breather gear (stainless steel) which I have checked the timing of.

None of this has changed or cured my problem.

Have you any ideas, which might solve this.

Answer -
How much oil you getting?
Mike

Enough to cover parts of the bike after a ride, this is not a problem if I keep checking the oil level. But, it is a pain in the rear when I have to constantly clean oil of the chrome and paintwork.

Answer
The only reason I can think of for this problem is there is a blockage in a return hole. That lets oil build up in the bottom end and it comes out the carakcase vent. Also, check the screen for the lifters and see if its plugged with dirt. Usually, though if it is plugged the lifters dont pump up.
Good luck and happy riding
