Motorcycle Repair: Headlight, harley fatboy, test light

Question
My headlight went out and will not come back on.  The switch still goes from dim to high beam but the light will not come on.  Fuses look okay.
what could be the problem.  Headlight gone bad?
Bike is a 2003 Harley Fatboy.  Thanks in advance for any help .

take your headlight out and unplug it. Take a test light and see if your getting power to the light. If not, then youa re going to have to trace it back to see where the problem is. The next place I would look is at the hi-low switch. You might not have any power going to it. Check on both sides of the fuse to make sure there is power to the light also. If you have power, check the ground wire and the bulp.
