Motorcycle Repair: swingarm removal, rear pulley, swing arm

Question
i have a 91 fxr that i'd like to remove the swingarm to send off for chroming along with the rear pulley. i've asked a few people about the difficulty involved in removing it and have recieved feedback from it being easy to don't even mess with it. what is the real scoop on removing it?
thank you,
randy

Answer
Its not that tough of a job if you can folow directions and have tools to work with. I would recommend you get a service manual to do the work, as there are quit a few steps in removing it. In it it will give you the torques and steps for removal. the only other thing you will need is a jack to hold the bike up while the swing arm is getting chromed.
Good luck and happy riding
