Motorcycle Repair: setting timming, honda xr 100, honda xr 100 dirt bike

I have a 1999 honda xr 100 dirt bike. I need to set the timming on it. I just put new rings and valves in it. How do I set the timming so I can make sure the bike will start.

Hi John,

To time the valves/camshafts, I recommend you obtain the Service Manual for the XR. It will pay for itself with the first repair. The manual has important tech intel that needs to be followed when performing repairs as described.
