Motorcycle Repair: 1969 cb350, honda cb350, shop manuals

Question
I have a 1969 Honda cb350, yesterday it worked fine. Today when I went to kick start it it kicked about four or five times and then would not kick any more. The kick starter will go down if the clutch is in but not in neutral with the clutch engaged.
I tried to put it in gear and rock it back and forth but nothing seems to free it up.
I also tried to roll it down our driveway in gear and let off the clutch, but again nothing happened.
I also removed the spark plugs and tried but again , nothing.
Is it possible that the engine is seized from kick starting.? There is oil in the bike.
I have not taken it apart yet but I'm pretty sure it is something in the bottom end, what would cause this?

Thanks

Phil

Answer
Hi Phil,

The kick start shaft and linkage behind the engine cases may have come unsecured or broken. You will have to disassemble the kick assy. and investigate.

Get the shop manual if you donot already own one. It will pay for itself with the first home repair.
