Motorcycle Repair: Grip Removal, deuce, thinner

Harley 04 Deuce...Need to remove billet grips without damaging. Getting new bars. Looking for best way.

the right one is no problem. remove the cover around it, remove the cable from the grip.
The left one is usually the problem. remove the cover around it. See if you can slide it off. Many times they are glued on. What you can do is get some laqure thinner and a syringe and try to push the laqure thinner under the grip to loosen the glue. Keep working at it. It might take a while.
