Motorcycle Repair: seat removal vulcan 800 classic, bike bandit, seat removal

Question
I NEED TO REPLACE THE BATTERY ON A 2003 VULCAN 800 CLASSIC. HOW DO YOU GET THE SEAT OFF?

THANKS

Answer
Hi Pete,

Check the owner's manual. If you do not have the manual, visit Kawasaki's website and see what fastens seat to frame. (Remove part #132, seat bolt). You can order Service/Repair and Owner's Manuals from the Bike Bandit or Kawaski websites.

See microfiche parts here: "www.buykawasaki.com" or "www.bikebandit.com"

Once Kawasaki's site opens, click green text "Vehicle Information" from the menu, and then "View Parts Diagram" from the menu. A new page opens, select "Motorcycle" from the menu, (or enter your VIN for the “history” of your MC). Select the year, make and model from the menus that follow.

With Bike Bandit, click "OEM Parts" and then select your MC from the menus that follow.

Respectfully,
