Motorcycle Repair: electrical issues, electrical issues, circuit components

Question
I have a 1974-76 honda cb360 its in bad shape,the wiring harness has been hacked to hell, I need some help in tring to figure out what is nessasary to have as far as electrical componets to make it run. It doesnt matter if any thing else on there works. My ultimate goal is to put the motor on a go kart frame. If you can help my try to figure this out I would really appreciate it.

You'll need to keep the charging system components and ignition system components. Eliminate the rest of the components and conductors.

Use the above diagram or the shop manual diagrams to know which wires and circuit components to keep/eliminate.  

The task is a little involved for me completely type here.
