Motorcycle Repair: 96 road king stator, impact wrench, stator

Question
Mike I have a 96 Road king 1340 Evo.
I'm replaceing the Charging system. My question is, What is the best way to remove the Bolt that holds the gears and rotor and stator togeather. I have a impact wrench but I wanted to make sure that it isn't reversed threaded. Also the primary chain turns when you turn this bolt. Any information you can give would help greatly thanks.

Answer
The best way is to use an impact wrench. You will need one that had at least 200 lbs of torque. It is not a reversed thread. The compression from the motor should keep the motor from turning if you leave the spark plugs in. You can also set the trans in 1st to help.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
