Motorcycle Repair: V star 1100 silverado, oil filter relocation kit, vstar 1100

I am purchasing a 2005 vstar 1100 silverado and heard that putting an oil filter relocation kit would be wise.  Is this true?  Where should I get one?  Do you have directions to do this?  Is it easy for a beginner?

It may be a good idea, I dunno. I do not have any experience with this MC yet.
