Motorcycle Repair: front fork seal/brakes, honda shadow vt700, fork seals

Whats up Falcon?  I want to try to replace the front fork seals in my '85 honda shadow VT700 (one has blown), and at the same time replace the front brakes. I am not a mechanic, just pretty handy and determined. Is this a major repair that needs to be handled by a professional or is it something you think I can handle? Also, any tips or advice on this tear down would be appreciated.  Thanks.    Steve

Hi Steve.
 You will need a special tool for one of the bolts in the forks, but the brakes should be no problem at all.  You should be able to handle all of it as long as you have the repair manual to reference and are reasonable mechanically inclined.
