Motorcycle Repair: jacking a motorcylce, shively, kawasaki

Brand new to the world of cycles. My wife got me a jack stand for my birthday so I can begin to do some maintenance. I have a repair book for my 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan. I have been unable to find any instructions on how to jack a bike up. Can you tell me where to go or give me some basic pointers on how to do it. Gonna start out by changing my oil.

Hi Ron,

If the MC jack did not have product use information; try contacting the manufacturer. Check on-line for contact information.

If you're not sure where to place the jack; place lift under frame down tubes, centered in a manner to support the weight. Use tie-down strap to secure the MC to the jack.
