Motorcycle Repair: reversing direction of rotation, piston port, recoil starter

Question
I have a 2 cycle snowblower motor of 109 cc that I want to convert to large scale RC use. I have "converted" several smaller weed eater engines but have a question on this one. I am not sure of the manufacturer of the engine, but the output shaft rotates counter clockwise which is good, except that the muffler is on this side and would be on the "wrong side" for my intended application. The recoil starter and flywheel/magneo is on the other side of the engine. It has a side mounted carb and is piston port induction. Can I take the flywheel and mag off and use an electronic (hall effect) ignition and run this engine 'reverse' of its original use? In other words, I want the engine to run in a counter clockwise direction from the orginal flywheel end! Naturally, it has two output shafts from the crankcase. Thank you for your tim.

Answer
Hi Wayne,

It should work if you can find the necessary parts for fabrication.

The strangest thing I've seen is a two-stroke cycle MC engine start and run in reverse. Compression coughed on start up sending piston/crank in reverse direction.
