Motorcycle Repair: cutting exhaust pipes, exhaust pipes, blue masking tape

I would like to shorten up my Bub Big Willy's about 8 or 9 inches, but am concerned about chipping the chrome.  Do you have any suggestions on the best way to go about this?

My personal advice is to get a exhaust system that will let the motor run right. Cutting the all ready bad exhaust system that you are running will only make the bike run worse then it is now. You can put some blue masking tape around where you want to cut and then use a band saw to ket it and then file the sharp edge and then remove the tape.  Johnny
