Motorcycle Repair: synchronizing my sportster, sportster 883, gears

I have a 1998 Sportster 883.  I needed to find out how to synchronize the gears.  When I pulled the gear box off, they moved.   Thanks

Not sure what you mean by synchronize the gears. When pulling out the trans out of the primary it is a complete unit. If you have the shifter forks installed in the gears and installed in the  shifter plate, the there is nothing to synchronize. They will be lined up correctly.
