Motorcycle Repair: winter storage, harley fatboy, trickle charger

i have a2000 harley fatboy,and want to know what to do to saftly store my bike this winter. it will be stored in a unheated garage.what premaintenance  shoud be done    thanks

First, purchace a battery tender. It will keep your battery charged all winter and it makes the battery last alot longer. Make sure its a tender and not a trickle charger. The trickle charger will ruin the battery.
If you are not going ot ride the bike all winter, then take the bike out for a ride and let it get warm. Then change the oil. This will remove the acids in the oil that is hard on bearings.
Last, fill the fuel tank as full as you can get it. This will help keep moisture out of the tank and keep it rom rusting.
Next spring you will be good to go!
