Motorcycle Repair: Intake mods., vance hines exhaust, vulcan nomad

Question
I have a 2000 Ka/ Vulcan Nomad 1500
with Vance/Hines exhaust, I do not beleave the intake has a upgrade what do I need?
Please.
also shifting  1 to 2 ect (using clutch) gears go in solid with a thud, is it til]me to recluch? or respring?

Hi Scott, I would scour the internet for a Jet kit for your Carbs. if not available then an airbox modification would be the next logical step, get more air into the engine..maybe a K$N Filter? The transmissions on these bikes are fragile, shift it as gently as you can to avoid damaging the shift fork and engagement dogs. I am not aware of any kits that would improve the shifting but try going to Factory shift kits web site and see what they offer.
