Motorcycle Repair: 1983 nighthawk, nighthawk, bread and butter

Hi, do you have any links to the dissasembly and service on carbs to 1983 750 nighthawk? It seems to flood and is hard to start  especially when cold. any suggestions? It sat for 1 year before i bought it. Thanks

Hi John, carb service for motorcycles is a closely gaurded secret, I doubt any one will detail it for you online, this type of repair is a motorcycle technicians bread and butter.
The factory service manual is the only trustworthy reference out there. The carbs are in need of cleaning and possibly some tuning. Never let her sit for more than a month or two without draining the float bowls. If you want to clean the carbs yourself get the manual.
