Motorcycle Repair: used tires, motorcycle tires, bike tires

Hi Mike

I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy a few good used motorcycle tires that i'm about to do for someone who needs them replaced due to the tires that are on them are dryrotted?I work for a tire dealership and work on semi's and cars and we have good tire machines do you think it's a good idea to use those machines to change out the tires or should i find someone that has a machine built for bike tires only ..What do you think? Thanks

Not a problem using a tire machine to change the tires if the rim will fit the machine.
As to using used tires, my personal opinion, I wouldnt do it. Remember, you only have two tires on the ground when riding. i want two good tires. I would go with new ones. If you have never had a blowout on a bike you will only want to do it once.
