Motorcycle Repair: Primary, indian scout, drive train

Hello Mike,I have an '03 Indian Scout with 88" S&S engine and factory drive train. I'm not real happy with the primary. It's a pretty low grade billet and no matter what I try it doesn't shine. My question is will a stock H-D primary (inner and outer) fit my bike. Also if it will what year and model will fit. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You have got me here. I have never worked on a newer indian so i am not sure what will work. I know that the front of the inner primary will work on the S&S motor. It might help if you could tell me what trans they used. It might be a aftermarcket trans that will fit a harley. If so then you should have no problem. If you want to save some money by not buying a new one, I would suggest that you remove both this winter and have them polished and then clearcoated. This will help them retain there luster.
