Motorcycle Repair: no spark at plug, honda xl 600, troubleshooting files

my 1986 honda xl 600 r is getting no spark to the plug, i checked the primary and its good what else could it be? the plug boot is also good. my book says there are many more parts that make the plug spark. i just cant figure it out. any input would be appreciated,thanks

Greetings Dom,

Check the ignition pick-up coil, excitor coil, all wiring connections; especially grounds. If all test out ok, suspect the CDI.
