Motorcycle Repair: cbr 600 not starting, air intake, carbs

hi,

i have a T reg cbr 600, i have not used it for a few months, it has
been on a charger in my garage, i tried starting it but it does not
seem to want to, the starter is working but the engine does not
catch and turn, it makes the right noise,

what can i try, bfore i take it to a garage for repair?

Hi Gush.
 Start by spraying some automotive starting fluid into the air intake when you try to start it.  This will tell you if you are getting spark.

 If not, then you should start checking all of your connections, to see if the are tight and clean.  Then check the fuses, fuse connections and the wiring (both visually and with a meter).

 If it fires, then the problem is that the carbs are gummed up.  Remove, disassemble and properly clean them.  Re-install and re-synchronize the carbs and the bike should run again.
