1982 Honda GL1100 Goldwing

Hi Mark,

My speedometer works but the odometer doesn't. It moves one km every 100 -150 driven so some movement is getting into the housing.  Can I repair something to make it work again?  Cost of replacement in Canada is around the $400 mark.

Hi Bob,

Repairing may be a possibility. Depends on what is defective. Check the tach cable and cable ends for defects. Carefully remove and disassemble the tachometer gauge and investigate.

If replacement is necessary, try Ebay and other on-line resources for better prices.
