I have a '04 Springer Softail w/6500 miles on her.  Today I noticed a loud whine in the rear wheel when I'm decelerating to a stop.  It becomes noticeable from about 25 mph down to 0 mph.  It used to only be there when I had a passanger on the back but today it's there with just me on the bike.  At first I thought the belt was rubbing on something but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Is there a problem with my bike?
Answer -
pull in the clutch when you here the wine and see if it goes away and let me know

Yes, the whine is still there even when the clutch is pulled in.

Answer
have the rear wheel checked for alinement. It sounds like the rear belt is making this noise. Pick up some poly lube at the Harley dealership and put some of it on the out side edge of the belt. All away around it. then go for a ride and it will be gone I bet..  Johnny
