Motorcycle Repair: Fork Pressure + 1 general question, honda manual, drive oil

Question
Chris, I'm new to motorcycling, always been interested, just didn't have the resources until now to join the club.  Two weekends ago I bought an 84 Honda CB650SC Nitehawk, 15,000 miles.  It appears to be in good shape and the final drive and engine oil are relatively clean, and front forks have no oil residue.
Q#1 - Honda Manual specifies front fork pressure at 0-6 Psi and a max of 43 psi.  I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs, what do you suggest for front fork pressure?
Q#2 - There was no maint. history on the bike, so it is unknown what has been done up until now.  Do you suggest I do anything other than change engine, fork, and final drive oil, and clean the air filter?

Thanks,

Answer
Hi Tyson.
As far as recommended pressure in the forks, as well as all other specs and repairs, then go with what the manual recommends.  It was made from the specs set by the factory.

Go by the schedule and specs in the repair manual for maintainence.  If you got the bike in good, clean shape, then chances are it was maintained within the recommended schedule, so just keep to it.  The repair manual will have the schedule for everything that needs to be taken care of and when.

Ride safe.
