Motorcycle Repair: low fuel light, fuel light, full tank

Question
I have a 2000 Electra Glide Classic with fuel injection. On a recent trip I noticed that the low fuel light would sometimes come on even though I would have a full tank. Now it flickers and comes on and off. It also seems to flicker more when the engine is revving.
Have any ideas? I had the fairing off and I unplugged the low fuel module and it still stayed on.
Thanks in advance,
Hector

Answer
Your low fuel light is powered from the sending unit located in the tank. Sounds like you have a bad sending unit. You can replace it yourself. Remove the chrome cover on the tank and you will see where the two wires plug into it. Unplug them and remove the screws the hold the sending unit in and replace it with the new one.
Good luck and happy riding
