Motorcycle Repair: 2000 Kawasaki ZX-9R, air fuel mixture, kawasaki zx

Question
I own a 2000 Kawasaki ZX-9R.  I bought the bike from a shorter person who had it lowered a little. I understand that this bike has a fairly simple way to adjust the ride height. I also notice a slight studder type of hesitation in the bike when i pull of in first gear with very low rev.  Does this bike just require a little more throttle at take off because off it's power or is sommething going wrong with the bike. The only known modifications on the bike is an M4 exhaust system. Any info that you could send me on these matters would be most helpful. Thank you very much and hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
Hi Lloyd,

I recommend the service manual for suspension adjustment procedure and general carburetor tuning.

I suspect the carbs may need tuned a bit to correct off idle stumble. Read the spark plugs to know what is happening with the air-fuel mixture. Easier said than done, though this knowledge comes with experience.
