Motorcycle Repair: engine stalling, honda cbr 600, float bowls

Question
I have a 1996 Honda CBR 600 F3, the only modifications I have is a D&D exhaust slip on which has been on the bike for a year now.  The problem I'm having is that the bike startes to sputter and then dies on me after riding a few miles.  Its like its not getting spark or the gas is bad.  Once I let the bike sit for about 15 min. It will start up and run about a mile only to start to sputter and quit on me.  It won't start up after words.  The bike has tons of power when its running good, no smoke, good compression. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
Chris

Answer
Hi Chris,

I suspect a pinched or collapsed fuel or vacuum hose, or an obstructed vent in gas cap or carburetor float bowl vent circuit.

Sediment (rust, varnish, and other contamination) in float bowls may cause similar problem
